CES 2026 has kicked off in Las Vegas, with major tech companies showing off what they have best to offer. Among them is Alienware, Dell’s premium gaming brand, which has shared additional details about its upcoming gaming laptops. But the brand didn’t stop there. Alienware has also teased two new laptops at CES 2026, one of which is an “ultra-thin gaming laptop.”

Alienware shared new details about 16X Aurora and 16 Area-51 laptops at CES 2026

The upcoming gaming laptops in question are the Alienware 16X Aurora and the Alienware 16 Area-51. Although the company hasn’t shared many details about these laptops, the ones shared are quite interesting, to say the least. Both gaming laptops feature OLED screens , which Dell claims is the first-ever for any of its in-house gaming laptops.

Alienware also notes that both the gaming laptops will pack the new Intel Core Ultra 200HX processor under the hood for top-notch performance. Meanwhile, the new display panels come with a 0.2ms response time, quick enough for buttery smooth gameplay, and 620 nits of peak HDR brightness.

That’s not all; these Alienware gaming laptops unveiled at CES 2026 also boast 120% DCI-P3 Color Volume for offering vibrant, true-to-life visuals when you’re playing your favorite games. Notably, both Alienware laptops are VESA HDR ClearMR 9000 Certified, which virtually eliminates ghosting when playing fast-paced games.

As far as the GPU is concerned, the Alienware 16X Aurora comes with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070. On the other hand, the “Area-51” model boasts a GPU that can reach up to RTX 5090. Do note that there are two different variants of the Area-51 models, 16-inch and 18-inch, to grab from. If you’re wondering when these gaming laptops will be available, sadly, there’s no concrete release date as of now. However, we do know that these are coming sometime in Q1 2026. Not to mention, there’s no word on the pricing of the new Alienware gaming laptops.

Ultra-thin and entry-level gaming laptops also incoming

Apart from the upcoming laptops, Alienware took the CES 2026 stage to tease an “ultra-thin gaming laptop” and an “entry-level laptop.” Speaking of the ultra-thin model, the company says that it will be around 17mm or 0.67 inches thin . You can expect the laptop to launch in either 16-inch or 14-inch models. Although the 16-inch model will feature an undisclosed NVIDIA GPU and “new highly efficient CPUs,” it won’t come close to the likes of Area-51.

Meanwhile, the entry-level laptop will apparently offer “strong gaming performance,” but not as strong as the Area-51 models. It’s worth noting that Alienware says that the entry-level laptop will be offered at “its most accessible price point yet.” Moreover, Alienware has also announced that, in Q1 of 2026, it will update the Area-51 Gaming Desktop with the latest Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor and 3D V-Cache technology.
