The wait is almost over as Apple will unveil the iPhone 17 lineup at its “Awe Dropping” event on September 9. Ahead of the launch, we’ve seen a ton of leaks regarding the features of the upcoming iPhone range. Specs aside, Apple could introduce the iPhone 17 range in new colors, including a bold new orange option for the Pro models. Some leaked dummy units already gave us the first look at the colorways of the new iPhone lineup. A last-minute leak has now shared purported Camera control buttons for iPhone 17 hardware.
A closer look at iPhone 17 series’ Camera control button
A few weeks ago, Sonny Dickson, one of the most reliable tipsters when it comes to leaks regarding Apple products, leaked the colors of all the new iPhone 17 models . Now, the same tipster has posted photos of the Camera control buttons of the new devices. One of the images shows yellow, green, blue, pink, and black hardware keys.
Another shows the keys in a darker blue, silver, and a bold orange hue. The orange button looks like the shade of orange seen on the Apple Watch Ultra’s Action button. Dickson’s latest leak has all but confirmed that Apple will indeed release the iPhone 17 in bold new colors like orange.

Only the iPhone 17 Pro could come in the vibrant new orange hue
So far, the leaks have claimed that Apple has reserved the vibrant orange colorway for the Pro models of the iPhone 17 lineup. The vanilla iPhone 17 and the iPhone 17 Air will share three colorways, including black, light blue, and white . The iPhone 17 will have an additional light pink hue, while the iPhone 17 Air could have a gold finish. It looks like Apple will bring a gold finish to a standard iPhone this year.
Apple has played with colorful iPhones before, but the Pro models have always leaned towards muted colorways like graphite, titanium, and deep blues. So, a bold, vibrant orange iPhone 17 Pro variant would break that tradition. That said, we’ll know more in less than a week at the official announcement, so stay tuned.
