Even before its name change from Twitch Prime several years ago, it had already been around for a few years.
With Prime Gaming, you get a series of rewards for various games. These rewards are rotating and are not always the same. And not all rewards stick around for the same length of time as others. But the rewards are always something useful for some of the most popular games on all platforms. Including mobile.
To put it another way, Prime Gaming is a collection of perks for gamers that allow them to claim free in-game content for the games they know and love to play.
What kinds of benefits does Prime Gaming offer?
There are two main benefits you get from Prime Gaming. Both are equally exciting and span across a wide range of game types and cater to just as wide a range of players.
You would see it in the form of in-game currency. Some of it would be the normal currency you can earn by playing. Sometimes, you would also get premium currency that you normally have to pay for.
Free, full games to add to your library
With free games being the majority of the rewards, Prime Gaming always tends to have at least one title worth checking out. If you haven’t been back to the Prime Gaming page in a while, I highly recommend browsing through it to see if there are any games you like. You can claim these directly on the Prime Gaming page, then redeem them from their respective game clients.
Free Games With Prime
When it comes to games, there are quite a few that are currently available. It is worth keeping in mind, however, that all of these games will only be available for a certain period of time. What’s more, the dates won’t be the same for each game. Some stick around for longer periods of time than others. So, with that in mind, you’ll want to check the games that you’re interested in to see how long they’re available.
For specific titles, there are currently 19 games available for free. Again, these won’t all be free forever. Some will be removed in the next few weeks. So keep an eye on them. Right now, you’ll be able to claim Saints Row 2, Saints Row IV, Endless Space 2: Definitive Edition, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Heroes of Loot, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II, Besiege + The Splintered Sea DLC, I Love Finding Wild Friends – CE, Venba, TOEM, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, Paquerette Down the Bunburrows, Boxes: Lost Fragments, Stray Gods: Orpheus, Station to Station, Liberte, The Abandoned Planet, and Doors: Paradox.

How do I know when offers will end?
If you go to the page where all of the offers are, each offer has a date listed with it. So all you have to do is look at the card for the offers you’re interested in, and it’ll be displayed at the bottom of that card.
Using Lost Ark as the example, the current offer that is available can be claimed until August 20, 2025. At which point it will be gone, and a new offer may pop up soon after for the new month.
Make sure you take note of these dates so you don’t miss out. This goes for the free full games as well as any in-game content.
Where can I claim the rewards once I’m in-game?
As soon as you claim the rewards on the Prime Gaming page, you’ll be met with a larger pop-up card on the same page that will tell you where to claim the items once you’re in-game.
There’s not much else to it besides that. Simply read where the items will be dropped off, and once you launch the game, go pick them up, and you’re good to go.
Do the rewards ever expire?
Generally no. In most cases, the in-game offers that pop up will be yours to keep forever, or until you use the items if they’re consumables like XP boosts.
But in some cases, the offers will be for items that only last for a certain period of time. In the past, when there was more in-game content rewards offered, some were for games that came along with a limited-time access period. Meaning, you only had access to that in-game content for a set amount of time before it would be removed from your inventory in the game it was for. That isn’t the case right now, but it could be in the future.
How do I play the games that I claim?
It used to be that games you claimed through Prime Gaming would be installed directly to your Windows PC. If they were Windows games to begin with.
Now, though, games that you claim will be for specific game clients. For example, Marvel’s Midnight Suns is claimable as a free title, but it’s for the Epic Games Store specifically. That means that it won’t be the Steam version of the game, or the version from any other PC game client where it’s available.
