More OnePlus phones are now getting the Android 16-based OxygenOS update . The devices in question are the OnePlus Nord 4, Nord 5, and Nord CE 5 this time around. The global update rollout has kicked off.
More OnePlus phones are now getting the Android 16 update, Nord phone users
As a reminder, the OnePlus 13 , OnePlus 13R, OnePlus 12, OnePlus Pad 3, and OnePlus Pad 2 have started receiving the update earlier this month. The OnePlus 15 , on the other hand, ships with Android 16 out of the box.
OnePlus’ more budget-oriented phones are now getting the update as well. The update for all three of these devices weighs over 3GB, closer to 3.5GB. There could be differences in that regard from one market to the next
Do note that the update is rolling out in stages and that the rollout started in India. It may take a bit of time before your phone gets the update, as is usually the case. OnePlus has a tendency to kick things off with slower rollouts just in case there are more unexpected bugs. So, be patient, as for many of you, the update will still be under the ‘Beta’ menu, marked as a ‘Release Candidate’. Proper stable rollout did kick off as well, though, it seems.
This update brings the latest security patch, along with plenty more changes
This update does bring the November 2025 Android security update to the table. It also brings all the underlying changes that Google intended for Android 16 , and most of the features you’d see on more powerful phones.
We still don’t have an entire changelog for either of the devices mentioned here, but we do have for the ones that received the update earlier this month. This update brings a huge upgrade for animations and smoothness, yes, even on budget models.
Flux Themes have received an upgrade, too, while you’ll also see a difference in the status bar. The notification icons are now colored, for better or worse. Plenty of AI upgrade have been added in this update, along with OnePlus’ Gaussian blur throughout the interface. More customization options are included, too, and so on.
