The OnePlus 12R is now getting a major new update, as Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 is rolling out to the device. The rollout has started in India, but the update will quickly spread to other markets, if it hasn’t already.

As a reminder, the OnePlus 12R is no longer the best mid-ranger the company has to offer, but it’s still a great phone, and quite a few people are still using it. The OnePlus 13R, its successor, started receiving Android 16 at the beginning of last month.

Do note that once the update reaches your region, it may take a while before it reaches your phone. It is rolling out in batches, so keep that in mind. You may not get it straight away.

The Trinity Engine is supposed to keep everything running smoothly

The Flux Home Screen got a new update as well, mainly in the lock screen area. Your lock screen will now be more customizable than ever. There are more themes now, and they’re all customizable as you please.
