Anker just made your iPhone’s charging brick look like a relic from the Stone Age. The company announced its new Anker Nano Charger (45W, Smart Display, 180° Foldable) today, and it’s packing a trick we haven’t really seen before: a smart display that recognizes your iPhone and shows you exactly what’s happening while it charges.
First shown off at CES 2026 , this isn’t just another GaN charger with a gimmicky screen slapped on it. The display actually provides real-time info on charging power, temperature, and battery status. More importantly, the charger automatically detects supported iPhones and iPads and adjusts its power delivery accordingly. Anker claims it can juice up an iPhone 17 to 50 percent in just 20 minutes.
Battery health nerds, this one’s for you
The standout feature here is Anker’s TÜV-certified Care Mode, designed for overnight charging without cooking your battery. When enabled, the charger runs 36°F cooler than international standards and keeps your phone’s battery up to 9°F cooler than competing 45W chargers. If you’re someone who obsesses over battery health percentages, this is basically made for you.
Despite the added smarts, Anker managed to shrink this thing down significantly. It’s 47 percent smaller and 36 percent lighter than Anker’s original 30W charger while pushing out 50 percent more power. The dual foldable prongs adjust to 90° or 180°, so you can actually use outlets behind furniture without the charger sticking out awkwardly or blocking adjacent plugs.
The Nano 45W works with the iPhone 17, 16, and 15 series, plus supported iPad Pro models. It comes in four colors: Anker Black, Aurora White, Misty Blue, and Cosmic Orange (coming soon). But it also works with non-iPhones. If you plug in an Android device or a battery pack to the charger, it’ll still show the charging speed, but won’t identify what kind of iPhone is plugged in. I plugged in a MagSafe battery pack to this charger, and was still able to see the charging speed but it did not identify if it was an iPhone 17 Pro Max or not.
