Power outages are becoming a more common concern for homeowners. The situation leads many to look for more reliable ways to keep the lights on. With this in mind, Anker has come out with the SOLIX E10, a hybrid whole-home power backup system that focuses on ease of installation and a modular approach.
Anker SOLIX E10 aims to provide “infinite” home battery backup
The standout feature of the E10 is its hybrid design. Several other products in the segment rely solely on batteries or a single solar array. However, the E10 integrates solar power, battery storage, and even a smart fuel generator. This setup aims to provide what the company calls “infinite” backup power. The system maintains peak efficiency by connecting a generator directly via a DC connection. The approach can potentially extend backup duration far beyond what a traditional standalone generator could offer.
For those worried about high-demand appliances, the E10 packs big power. A single unit can handle a massive surge of up to 37.2 kW, which is enough to kickstart a heavy-duty central air conditioning unit during a blackout. When paired with the company’s Power Dock, the system can switch over in just 20 milliseconds—fast enough that most electronics won’t even register a flicker in power.
Modular, expandable
Anker designed the SOLIX E10 to be flexible. The system is modular, so homeowners can start with a small amount and add more as they need it. Users can make the system bigger by adding 6 kWh battery blocks, up to 90 kWh. In theory, a house could stay powered for up to 15 days during long emergencies at that level.

The hardware is also built to survive the elements. With an all-metal enclosure and weather resistance that handles temperatures from -4°F to 131°F, owners can install these units indoors or outdoors. Its stackable, plug-and-play design is a nod toward DIY enthusiasts who prefer to handle the installation or battery expansion themselves. The company also provides professional installation services, though.
Price and availability
Anker is offering different entry points depending on a homeowner’s specific needs and existing setup. Those with existing solar panels can opt for a Smart Inlet Box for a more cost-effective manual switchover. On the other hand, those wanting a fully automated, whole-home experience can choose the Power Dock configuration.
Pre-orders open today (January 12), with official sales starting in early February. The base system begins at $4,299, with more comprehensive bundles reaching over $7,000.
