Aqara has launched its new Doorbell Camera Hub G410, offering 2K resolution video. Its f/1.8 aperture and 175-degree wide-angle lens ensure exceptional video clarity day and night. The doorbell also includes a microphone and speaker for real-time communication with visitors, compatible with mobile apps and Aqara’s Panel Hub S1 Plus.
The advanced built-in millimeter wave sensor represents a significant leap forward in presence detection technology. Unlike traditional motion sensors that often trigger false alarms due to environmental factors such as leaves blowing in the wind, small animals, or changes in light, this sophisticated sensor utilizes high-frequency radio waves to precisely detect human presence. This allows for highly accurate differentiation between relevant human movement and irrelevant background activity, thereby dramatically minimizing false alerts. The result is a more reliable and less disruptive security or automation system, ensuring that notifications are only generated when a human is genuinely present, and automations are triggered with greater precision.
All videos are end-to-end encrypted on the Doorbell Camera Hub G410. This includes live and recorded video. Aqara also offers both local and cloud storage. Customers are able to enjoy subscription-free 1-day event storage on Aqara Cloud for six months, or 90-day storage with the HomeGuardian subscription. Interestingly, Aqara also offers iCloud storage as an option if you have an iCloud subscription.
And for local storage, there is a microSD card slot available that can support up to 512GB of video. This is housed within the chime, which means that someone outside your home can’t steal it and all of your footage. Finally, Aqara says that these videos can be synced to a local NAS system as well. These are some great options for storing video, without paying a monthly subscription fee.
The Aqara Doorbell Camera Hub G410 offers broad compatibility with smart home platforms, including Apple Home (with HomeKit Secure Video support), Alexa, Google Home, and SmartThings-enabled smart displays. Beyond these, it features RTSP support for streaming live video to third-party clients like Home Assistant over a local network. Additionally, the G410 includes Advanced Matter Bridging, enabling advanced functionalities like on-device facial recognition to be integrated with third-party Matter platforms.
On top of all of this, Aqara has built-in dual-band WiFi, Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth connectivity to the Doorbell Camera Hub G410. As expected, it also works as a Matter Controller and an Aqara Zigbee hub, so it can connect and manage your Aqara accessories and over 50 types of other Matter devices. This is the magic of Matter, which we’re seeing more and more smart home products adopting.

Aqara’s new doorbell works wired and wirelessly
With this new doorbell, Aqara has made it super easy to install and use as a wired or battery doorbell. If you choose to use it as a wireless doorbell, it’ll use six AA batteries, which will last you around five months of use. Unfortunately, it’s not rechargeable, but AA batteries are pretty easy to get your hands on.
For seamless and uninterrupted functionality, the doorbell is engineered for continuous operation. This is achieved by directly connecting it to your home’s existing AC/DC low-voltage electrical wiring. This design completely eliminates the need for batteries, thereby eradicating any concerns about battery depletion or the inconvenience of frequent replacements. Users can enjoy a consistently operational doorbell, providing peace of mind and reliable performance without the typical maintenance associated with battery-powered devices.
Finally, Aqara also has some exclusive features in its app. With the Aqara Home app, you are able to mask out parts of the dedicated area. This would keep these areas from showing up on recordings or streaming. So it’s a step further than just removing movement from those areas triggering alerts.
It also allows for voice changing, so customers can change the voice of the pre-recorded audio. There are four options available, which will provide more protection and privacy for your home. And finally, it also has easy integration with Aqara’s Locks and Panels. So users are able to bind the Doorbell Camera Hub G410 to an Aqara Smart lock, and unlock the door with a doorbell plugin.
