Among the many things you get to see at CES every single year, there’s always going to be some new laptops announced by at least one brand. ASUS is one of those brands at CES 2026 , and this year it unveiled the new ROG Zephyrus Duo , a gaming laptop that has two 16-inch OLED displays for some proper dual-screen multitasking. Unlike the last Zephyrus Duo model, this version has two full-size displays. Providing what feels like infinite possibilities for what you could use that second screen for. Plus, it’s a gaming laptop that can run with some extremely powerful specs, and that’s why we decided to give it the Best of CES 2026 award .
The new ASUS ROG Zephyrus Duo can be used in several different orientations
This is really what makes this laptop so amazing. The ROG Zephyrus Duo can be used in so many different ways that it’s probably the most versatile laptop, or at least the most versatile gaming laptop that we’ve ever seen. For starters, you can use it like a regular 16-inch laptop. That means you can open and close the lid, type on the keyboard, and play games like normal. However, you can also pop the keyboard off, and then you have the second display sitting underneath.
Here’s where it really gets cool. The back of the secondary display has a kickstand. You can pop that out. Now you have one display sort of up top, and another one that’s angled. When the keyboard is detached, it also operates fully in a wireless state. It also attaches with magnets. So it’s super easy to pop on and off when you want to use both displays. This would be excellent for playing a game on one screen and having a video up on the other. Alternatively, if you wanted to watch a stream while you play. You could even use the secondary display for additional workflow functionality if you wanted to. Performance-wise, it comes with Intel’s latest chips, and it can come with up to an RTX 5090 GPU. So it’s going to be a beast of a gaming laptop as well.
