Lepro is one of the companies that showed off a rather interesting product at CES 2026 . That’s saying a lot considering there were tons of products there. The name of it is the Lepro AI Companion A1 , and it’s on the receiving end of one of our CES 2026 awards . Lepro says that this is a next-generation AI companion device, which is “designed to bring emotional presence, natural interaction, and true companionship into everyday life.”
The Lepro A1 AI companion understands user emotions
The company is clearly marketing this thing to become your personal AI assistant of sorts. This is not just your regular voice AI assistant, though. The Lepro A1 is supposed to understand user emotions, adapt to real-world context, and engage with human-like warmth. Therefore, you should get a personalized presence. This AI assistant listens, and it adapts.
The Lepro A1 has multimodal sensing, including face recognition, gesture detection, heart-rate sensing, and environmental data monitoring. It adapts its tone and response based on emotional and physical context. The more you use it, the better it will get at what it does. The Lepro A1 also supports customization of avatar style, personality traits, voice, and even its story background. So you can change it the way you want.
Its 3D avatar is presented with a “lifelike depth”
This product has a curved OLED display that presents a 3D avatar with “lifelike depth,” says Lepro. That, paired with a rear camera, is supposed to blend digital characters with a real background, which should give you a rather immersive AR-like experience. The Lepro A1 also features face and voice recognition, local data processing, and physical mic/camera shutters.
There are also physical touch zones on the screen that enable subtle interactions, like a pat, a tap, or a swipe. It really is an interesting AI assistant, and it seems to be much more than your regular voice assistant.
