We are honoring the TCL X11L SQD-Mini LED TV with one of our Best of CES 2026 Awards for pushing the boundaries of home theater brightness and color precision. TCL has achieved what many thought impossible: a TV that reaches 10,000 nits of peak brightness while maintaining ink-like blacks through its staggering 20,000 local dimming zones. Google TV with Gemini and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system put the cherry on the cake.
Meet the ultra-bright TCL X11L SQD-Mini LED TV
TCL came to CES 2026 with a mission: to put an end to the argument over the brightness of LEDs and the contrast of OLEDs. The SQD-Mini LED architecture is new to the X11L series. It uses “Super Quantum Dots.” The technology lets it cover 100% of the BT.2020 color spectrum, which is a record. This level of color purity makes sure that what you see on screen is exactly what the director wanted, without any changes. TCL uses its own Halo Control System to control this huge amount of power. This system almost completely gets rid of the “blooming” effect that happens around bright objects on dark backgrounds.
Beyond the panel itself, TCL focuses on the “smart” in Smart TV. The X11L is one of the first flagships to feature Google TV with Gemini AI integration. This allows you to control complex TV settings through natural conversation. Need to “dim the screen for a movie”? Just ask. The hardware design is equally impressive; the TV measures less than 0.8 inches deep. It also features a “ZeroBorder” panel that creates an edge-to-edge viewing experience.
The sound experience was another key point when developing this Smart TV. TCL partnered with Bang & Olufsen for its integrated speakers to provide a rich, spatial soundstage. And, for the first time, users can add an optical wireless subwoofer directly to the TV without needing an external soundbar. With four HDMI 2.1 ports and a 144Hz refresh rate, it also doubles as a top-tier gaming monitor.
TCL’s X11L SQD-Mini LED has a starting price of $6,999.99 for the 75-inch model.
