Every year at CES , we are bombarded with a bunch of new audio products, ranging from speakers to headphones to true wireless earbuds. But headphones combined with speakers into a single device? That’s not something we see every day, which is why, for this year’s Best of CES 2026 award , we decided to give it to the TDM Neo headphones.

A headphone plus speaker hybrid

What made the TDM Neo headphones stand out at CES 2026 this year is their hybrid design. As we said, we come across a ton of headphones and audio products every year at CES. It’s gotten to the point where it’s almost kind of boring. But TDM surprised us with the Neo’s hybrid design.

On the surface, it looks like a regular pair of headphones. But give it a twist, and it transforms into a pair of Bluetooth speakers. This makes it the perfect device for sharing music with friends, something that has never really been possible with headphones. Alternatively, you can also use them at a party. We can’t say for sure how loud these headphones get, but it’s a possibility.

The headphones themselves feature four 40mm drivers: two inside and two outside. They’re also designed with comfort in mind, with dual-layer memory foam ear cushions and a soft vegan adjustable headband. The twisting motion that converts the headphones into speakers can also be customized.

This means that you can use it to pause music, power the headphones off, and so on. Battery life is also pretty amazing. TDM claims that the Neo headphones will last up to 200 hours in headphones mode and 10 hours in speaker mode. If that’s accurate, it’ll be awesome.

How much do they cost?

As for pricing, these headphones don’t exactly come cheap. They’re priced at $249 , putting them squarely in competition with other brands from Bose and Sony . If you’re just looking purely at it as a pair of headphones, we reckon there are probably cheaper options. However, the hybrid design means you’re getting two devices in one. Based on that, it’s actually a pretty good deal.
