DJI has announced the Osmo Nano , its latest compact and lightweight hands-free camera. It directly competes with the Insta360 Go Ultra , which weighs around 52.9 grams, almost similar to the DJI Osmo Nano (52 grams). With optional attachments, you can attach DJI’s newest action camera anywhere, including helmets, headbands, lanyards, hats, and more. It’s also waterproof up to 10 meters without any additional housing, so you can take it out for your swims and adventures.

DJI Osmo Nano weighs just 52 grams

The DJI Osmo Nano features a 1/1.3-inch 35MP CMOS image sensor paired with an f/2.8 lens and 143-degree FOV (field of View). The max resolution for still images is 6880 x 5160px. It can click JPEGs and raw photos. The Nano camera is claimed to achieve up to 13.5 stops of dynamic range.

The DJI Osmo Nano consists of a Multifunctional Vision Dock module that features a 1.96-inch OLED touchscreen. This connects to the main camera magnetically and can remotely control the Osmo Nano. It also works as a charging station, which can charge the main camera’s battery to 80% in just 20 minutes. With the Multifunctional Vision Dock, the camera offers an IPX4 rating for splash resistance.

There’s a 530mAh battery in the camera and a 1,300mAh battery in the Vision Dock. With a full battery and Vision Dock attached, the Osmo Nano can record up to 200 minutes of 1080p 24fps video or 60 minutes of 4K 30fps video (thanks to the new Endurance mode). The compact camera can record slow motion modes in 4K and 2.7K up to 120fps and in 1080p up to 240fps.

DJI Osmo Nano arrives in two storage versions

It features RockSteady 3.0 electronic stabilization tech , with the option to activate horizon balancing. However, this is available only in 16:9 modes. The stabilization doesn’t support slow-motion modes, though. There are time-lapse and hyperlapse modes. You also get SuperNight mode, which improves sharpness and reduces noise.

The DJI Osmo Nano works natively with DJI microphones without a receiver. The action camera itself features dual built-in microphones for stereo audio recording. You can save the footage in the camera’s built-in storage or on the microSD memory card. The latter option is available only when connected with the Vision Dock. The DJI Osmo Nano has two models: 64GB and 128GB storage.

The DJI Osmo Nano offers a wide range of smart shooting features like Horizontal and Vertical Shooting, Auto Recording, Gesture Control, and Pre-Rec.
