The OPPO Find X9 Pro is one of the best camera phones on the market, there’s no doubt about it, and DXOMARK just published its review of its cameras. The phone does rank quite high on DXOMARK’s list, but it’s not in the top 5 .
Before we get to it, do note that we’ve reviewed the OPPO Find X9 Pro a while back, and we simply loved its camera performance. In fact, it claimed the second place in our best camera phone awards for 2025.
DXOMARK didn’t place the OPPO Find X9 Pro in the top 5 camera phones
With that being said, the OPPO Find X9 Pro claimed the 6th place on DXOMARK’s camera ratings. The phone is placed below the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra , Vivo X300 Pro , OPPO Find X8 Ultra , Apple iPhone 17 Pro, and Vivo X200 Ultra on this list.
DXOMARK awarded the phone 166 points, while the first-placed Huawei Pura 80 Ultra has 175 points. The difference between the 3rd and 6th place is only two points, though… DXOMARK sure is splitting hairs.
The OPPO Find X9 Pro did better in the photo category than it did in the video category. The video is great, but the photos are better. With that being said, let’s go over the pros and cons that DXOMARK mentioned.
DXOMARK praised exposure and dynamic range in both photos and videos, even in low light. Generally neutral white balance and accurate skin tones were also mentioned. The phone also offers effective video stabilization, even when moving during recording.
The OPPO Find X9 Pro also has high levels of captured detail in both photo and video modes. Those were the pros highlighted by the company. What about the cons? Well, let’s get to it.
Video seems to be the main reason why it didn’t make it to the top 5
DXOMARK mentioned that it noticed video autofocus failures, incorrect target lock, and overshooting during subject tracking. Video noise was also mentioned, even when recording in bright light.
