The OnePlus 15 is now getting the first global update , soon after it launched. As many of you know, the phone was announced on November 13 for global markets , following its China launch on October 27.
The very first update is now rolling out to the (global) OnePlus 15
The update in question is OxygenOS 16.0.1.303 , and it’s now rolling out both in India and other global markets, including the EU. There are quite a few entries in the changelog here, so let’s see what’s new.
This update improves the speed of launching apps from the home screen. It also brings an improvement in the Flex themes department, as you can now resize the clock. Customizing widget names is now also a possibility.
Stacking widgets is an option now
This update also allows you to drag widgets on the Home screen onto system or other widgets of the same size, to stack them. You can now also use automatic straightening when cropping and rotating portrait and architectural images in Photos.l
Setting videos on your device as ringtones is also an option now. OnePlus is also improving the virus scanning speed in Phone Manager. The ‘Ring’ fingerprint animations on the Lock screen has now been improved with a glowing effect.
This update adds a new interface for AI LinkBoost Network Engine. It also allows you to receive real-time notifications for network acceleration in scenarios with poor network conditions. You’ll also be able to test your network speed and check network status details, such as latency and upload/download speeds.
This update also brings the latest security update to the table
And last, but not least, this update also brings the November 2025 Android security patch to the OnePlus 15 , thus improving the security. The update is rolling out as we speak, but it’s rolling out in stages. In other words, you’ll likely have to be patient. It’s coming, but not to everyone at once.
