At the very end of last month, Digital Chat Station, one of the best-known tipsters out there, said that the OPPO Find N6 will become the first foldable with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 . Well, he’s now back to share more information about that phone.
The tipster said that one of the two versions of the phone that will launch in China will offer satellite communication. That was the case with the last-gen model as well.
The OPPO Find N6 could end up using Sony’s unreleased flagship camera sensor
He also noted that the hardware for the phone has been basically finalized. The Sony IMX09E camera sensor seems to be included , and the tipster says that this is the “ core upgrade ” for the phone.
What’s interesting is that this camera has not been announced yet. However, it did leak a couple of months ago from the same source. Digital Chat Station said, back then, that it will be positioned above the LYT-900 sensor in Sony’s portfolio , in other words, it’s expected to be a flagship camera sensor.
That camera sensor is tipped to offer a 1/1.12-inch size with 0.7um native pixel size. It will be built on a 22nm processor, and support Hybrid Frame HDR, 100dB+ ultra-high dynamic range, greatly improved photosensitivity, and also 2x and 4x full-pixel fusion ‘lossless’ zoom.
‘Ultra’ phones from OPPO & Vivo are also expected to use that camera
Back then, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra were tipped to use it. It seems like the OPPO Find N6 could end up utilizing this camera as well, based on this information. That is a bit surprising, but it’s great.
He also noted that the telephoto camera will offer 3x optical zoom, though that will likely be a periscope telephoto camera, as was on the Find N5. The cover display will measure 6.3 inches in diagonal, while the phone will get a massive battery upgrade.
The device will also get a major battery upgrade
The OPPO Find N6 is said to utilize a 7,000mAh battery, up from 5,600mAh in the Find N5. Just to be clear, the OPPO Find N5 has great battery life, and its successor is expected to beat it. That will be a silicon-carbon battery, of course.
The last piece of information that the tipster shared has to do with a fingerprint scanner. An ultrasonic fingerprint scanner is mentioned by the tipster.
