The OnePlus 12 is now getting a new update for September 2025 , that goes for basically the entire globe. The OxygenOS 15.0.0.860 aka 15.0.0.861 update (depending on the market) is rolling out to India, Europe, the US, and more.

The OnePlus 12 is now getting the September 2025 update with some tweaks

This is not a huge update, but it does bring some changes, and it boosts security too. This update delivers the September 2025 Android security patch to the OnePlus 12, the latest security patch available.

With that being said, this update improves the animations when tapping Live Alerts or notifications while the screen is locked. It also adds a map album that allows you to view all images with locations on a map.

After you set photos in the Private album as public, those photos will reappear in their original locations. You can now also change your privacy password on each secondary page of Private Safe, as well as in the Locked album in Photos.

The new update also allows you to view your daily and weekly screen time in App management under Phone Manager. The layout of the remote control panel buttons in IR Remote has also been improved thanks to this update.

The update is rolling out in stages

That’s basically it as far as the changelog is concerned. With that being said, this update is rolling out in stages. It will arrive to your phone soon, but it may not arrive straight away. You’ll have to be patient. Your phone will let you know once the update is available, though you can always manually check via the Settings.

The OnePlus 12 is no longer the latest and greatest OnePlus has to offer, but it’s getting most of the same changes as the current-gen flagships, based on what we’re seeing here. The OnePlus 13 received this update very recently .
