A trusted source has just reported that the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will launch in February and go on sale in March. So it seems like a January launch is out of the question at this point. Rumors in the past have been jumping between the two months, it all depends on the source.
The Galaxy S26 series phones will launch in February after all
The information this time around comes from Ice Universe, a well-known tipster. A Korean news source, Yonhap News Agency, reported the same thing, basically, which we talked about a couple of days ago . They said the event will happen in February, in San Francisco.
They did not mention when the phone will go on sale, unlike the tipster. And the tipster, on the other hand, did not mention the location. So between the two sources, we have all that information now.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series rumors have been a rollercoaster. Samsung initially planned to announce the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. Then the company decided to ditch the first two and revert back to the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
The Galaxy S25 Edge sales probably had something to do with it. The Apple iPhone Air is also not selling as well as Apple had hoped. So that may have had something to do with it, too. People are not all that interested in super-thin phones. Regular phones are plenty thin as it is, and they’d rather have proper battery life than a super-thin phone.
We’ve exclusively revealed designs of the Galaxy S26+ & Galaxy S26 Ultra
We’ve already exclusively shared the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra designs. On top of that, we’ve shared the Galaxy S26 dimensions as well. There will be some smaller design changes, but the Galaxy S26 series will look very similar to its predecessors.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra will be fueled exclusively by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, it seems. The other two phones will also use the Exynos 2600 in some markets and thus utilize a dual-chip strategy.
