The weight of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series phones has just surfaced. The information has been published by Ice Universe, one of the best-known tipsters out there.
All three Galaxy S26 phones will be lighter than their iPhone 17 counterparts
He claims that the Galaxy S26 will weigh 164 grams, while the Galaxy S26+ will weigh 191 grams. Finally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will allegedly weigh 214 grams.
The tipster has also published the alleged thickness of all three phones , comparing it with the Apple iPhone 17 series. The thing is, we’re pretty sure the Galaxy S26’s thickness is off, which makes us wonder about its weight info.

The thickness and thus weight of the Galaxy S26 remain questionable
Based on the latest info that we’ve shared, the second-to-last Galaxy S26 prototype was 6.96mm thick (without the camera bump), and Ice Universe claims that the final product is in that range. We believe that the final Galaxy S26 model will weigh 7.24mm , as that’s the latest prototype from the company. It remains to be seen.
The thickness of the Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra models seems to be on point. It’s the same we mentioned when we shared CAD renders of both smartphones.
What’s interesting is that all three Galaxy S26 series phones will be lighter than what Apple has to offer. It’s not surprising, but still, it’s kind of interesting. We’re looking at a difference of around 13 grams for the cheaper two models, and a 17-gram difference between the Galaxy S26 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro Max.
All three Galaxy S26 phones are expected to launch in January
The entire Samsung Galaxy S26 series will become official in January next year, at least according to the latest report. We’ve seen all kinds of reports thus far, so… nothing is set in stone just yet. Samsung did not confirm anything at this point.
The company did make some last-minute changes to the phones. Samsung was initially planning to launch the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge in addition to the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The company reverted to the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+, though.
