The Samsung Galaxy S26 series charging speeds have just been confirmed, kind of, and you won’t like what you see. All three phones have popped up on China’s CQC certification website , though under concealed identities.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series will not bring charging speed improvements
What matters here is that these listings revealed their charging speeds. These listings basically confirm what Ice Universe, a tipster, said. The Galaxy S26 Pro and Edge will support charging speeds of up to 25W. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will go up to 45W. That means that the Galaxy S26 Ultra charging speed bump rumors have been false.

In other words, the Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge will have the same charging speeds as the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Edge, their predecessors. The same goes for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung will not deliver improvements in that regard.
This puts the Galaxy S26 way behind rivals from China
This means that, once again, Samsung’s flagship smartphones will be behind the competition from China. For Chinese flagships, 100W+ charging is more than standard at this point.
Something similar can be said for wireless charging too, actually. China’s CQC does not confirm wireless charging speed, but even if it ends up being 25W across the board, that will be a far cry from 50W charging that many Chinese flagships offer.
Let’s hope Qi2.2 will be supported
What makes us happy is the fact that the Galaxy S26 series will ship with magnets built in. That, hopefully, means that proper Qi2.2 charging will be supported, in other words, we hope that all three phones will support 25W wireless charging. That hasn’t been confirmed yet, however.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch in January next year. We’ve recently shared the Galaxy S26 Pro design thanks to CAD renders, and the same goes for the Galaxy S26 Edge . There’s more to come, by the way, so stay tuned.
