Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series of flagship smartphones will make an official debut in February. Before the launch, a handful of details regarding the features of the upcoming flagships have already hit the internet. We’ve also given you a look at the design of the Galaxy S26 Ultra a few weeks ago. Now, a tipster has revealed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s charging speed will be faster than any other Samsung smartphone to date.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s battery will go from 0 to 75% in 30 minutes
According to the reliable gadget tipster Iceuniverse, the Galaxy S26 Ultra will offer a significantly faster charging speed than its predecessor . The phone will support 60W fast wired charging, versus the 45W found on the Galaxy 25 Ultra. This leaked information is in line with multiple reports we’ve covered so far.
Furthermore, the tipster claims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 60W charging will allow its battery to charge from zero percent to 75 percent in just 30 minutes . Samsung reportedly tested these results under its controlled conditions. So, in real-world use or under different scenarios, the charging time may be longer or shorter. However, the phone will have the same 5,000mAh power cell as its predecessor.
What about the Galaxy S26 and S26+ models?
If we believe the reports, the Galaxy S26 will get a slightly bigger 4,300mAh battery, as opposed to the S25’s 4,000mAh unit. However, it will continue to offer 25W wired fast charging. According to rumors, the Galaxy S26+ features the same 4,900mAh battery as its predecessor and supports the same 45W wired charging.
It’s worth mentioning that there are reports that Samsung could improve the wireless charging speed of these models. Both the Galaxy S26 and S26+ models could now offer 20W wireless charging speed, as opposed to the 15W of the previous models.
Samsung could increase the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s wireless charging speed from 15W to 25W as well. We’ll find out soon enough as all three models will be official late next month, so stay tuned for regular updates.
