Samsung doesn’t take long to roll out the latest software update for its smartwatches. The company started rolling out the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy Watch 4 back in December 2025; however, some users have still not received the update. The new One UI version brings the latest Wear OS 6 features and changes. But not all Galaxy Watch users are able to enjoy the features yet.
Users are frustrated as the Galaxy Watch 4 has still not received the One UI 8 update
As said earlier, Samsung started the official release of the One UI 8 update to its Galaxy Watch models back in October 2025. The premium and the latest generation were the first to get the update. The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic finally started receiving the update in December 2025. However, the rollout seems to be very uneven. The update appears to have been rolled out only for the Bluetooth variant of the watch. This has left the Galaxy Watch 4 LTE users both frustrated and confused.
According to reports, the One UI 8 update was released in Europe, India, South Korea, and the United States in late 2025. However, most rollouts were limited to non-LTE variants. Users with the cellular variant found that no download was available , despite using supported hardware. This selective update has led to confusion among the users, as Samsung has not yet shared release timelines or an explanation for the delay.
Galaxy Watch 4 LTE users are frustrated with the delay
Samsung is among the fastest brands to deliver software updates to its gadgets. This particular incident marks a rare moment where the tech giant appears behind its usual smartwatch update rollout schedule. However, the situation is confusing, particularly because while the non-LTE variant of the Galaxy Watch 4 is receiving the update, the LTE variant is not . Several users have raised concerns on online forums and social media channels.
The One UI 8 is not a minor update. It brings several improvements and changes to the smartwatch. And not being able to use the latest features despite having the compatible hardware can get really annoying. We hope Samsung expedites the rollout process and offers a clear explanation for the delay.
