A new rumor suggests that Samsung plans to actually release a Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 sometime in 2026.
Some consumers were surely hoping that Samsung would launch a new model this year, but that never came to pass. It did launch a refreshed version of the original model, which came with more storage. Other than that, it was essentially the same exact watch. That might be changing with next year’s crop of devices, which should include the Galaxy Watch 9 series and the Galaxy Z Fold 8 .

Then this year it went for another classic model alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 (one of the best smartwatches of 2025 ). So, a rugged model has been released every two years. If Samsung follows this again, 2026 makes sense for a release date of the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, which is what the rumor from Galaxy Club mentions.
