The accessory is clearly built for people who are always on the move. It weighs just over 600 grams and measures about 78mm when folded. So, it is small enough to fit into a jacket pocket or a small bag. To keep things simple, GameSir included a smart power feature: the device turns on automatically when you unfold the clamp and powers down the moment you close it. Tactile feel and modern perks
While the design is old-school, the hardware under the hood is modern. It uses Bluetooth to connect to Android devices and other compatible platforms. For the buttons, GameSir chose a mix of textures. You get cushioned membrane inputs for the D-pad and ABXY buttons—providing that soft, “mushy” retro feel. Additionally, the interior of the clamp is lined with silicone pads, so you don’t have to worry about the plastic scratching your phone’s finish.
Availability and pricing
The Pocket Taco is available in a classic Gray for most people. However, those who back the Kickstarter campaign can also get their hands on an exclusive “Atom Purple” version. Early bird pricing starts around $34.99, a pretty affordable entry point for anyone wanting to spice up their mobile gaming setup. The campaign is set to run until March 14, 2026, with the first units expected to ship to gamers in April.
