Google expanding AI Plus availability
For those who are learning about this for the first time, Google first introduced AI Plus to developing markets such as Indonesia. Following the successful launch, Google is now expanding AI Plus to 36 additional countries. This means that in addition to Indonesia and the first wave of 40 countries, AI Plus is now available in 77 countries.
At the moment, Google has two paid AI plans. This includes AI Pro and AI Ultra . AI Pro is priced starting at $20 a month, while AI Ultra is priced at $250 a month. Both plans offer additional perks and expanded limitations beyond the free tier. While $20 a month for AI Pro isn’t exactly super expensive, it is quite pricey for a tool that some people might still deem as niche.
The goal of AI Plus is to make subscribing a little less painful on the wallet. This could appeal to students or users who are on a budget or who aren’t sure about whether they should commit to paying $20 a month. So, how much will AI Plus cost? This will depend on where you’re located. Google notes that prices will vary by country, so just head on over to the Google One page and you should find prices in your local currency.
What will you get with AI Plus?

According to Google, “Google AI Plus includes higher limits for our image generation and editing model, Nano Banana, and more access to video generation in the Gemini app, Flow and Whisk. You also get Gemini built into apps like Gmail and Docs, expanded access to NotebookLM, 200 GB of storage and more.”
In any case, if you’re not a power user, AI Plus might be a better and cheaper alternative.
