Google Maps is one of the best navigation services out there. It comes in handy to discover new places and restaurants in an unknown city, or even in the place you already reside. It is now getting a new share search results feature, making it even more useful for planning trips and coordinating with friends and family.
Google Maps will soon get the Share Search Results feature
If you are a regular user of Google Maps , you must be aware of the fact that while finding a new location or places is easier on the app, sharing them is not. It becomes clumsy to share every location individually with other users, especially when planning a group trip. But to fix this issue, Google Maps is adding a new share search results feature to its app soon.
As per an APK teardown done by the folks at Android Authority, Google is working to add a new share search results feature for its Google Maps application. Once the user searches for something like “best restaurants nearby” or “top hangout places,” they will be able to see a “Share” button alongside the search results. Clicking on it would allow the user to quickly share the top 10 results with others.
Planning trips with friends has now become easier
One of the most difficult parts of planning group trips has always been selecting the top places. Manually searching and shortlisting the places doesn’t always work. But with the new under-development share search results feature of Google Maps , planning trips with friends and family and selecting the top places will become easier.
The feature acts like an agent, creating a list of the top ten places or restaurants for you. While the feature would select the first ten results automatically, you can modify the selections per your choice. With that said, the feature is still under testing, and whether or not it will make up to the stable version remains a question for now.
