Circle to Search Maybe Soon Replaced

It hasn’t been a long time since Google introduced Circle to Search on Android. It quickly became the majority’s favorite feature. And why shouldn’t it be? The ease of searching for related items straight from the screen is something that helps a lot in day-to-day usage.

Now, Google is reportedly reconsidering its approach to Circle to Search. Google’s AI assistant , Gemini’s ‘Tell Me About This’ feature may soon replace it . While there’s no need to worry about the change as it works exactly like the Circle to Search, how the change will affect the Android operating system and its functionality is something that we are excited to learn about.

Gemini’s Tell Me About This feature is in the works

Gemini previously had a feature in the beta build that enabled the user to ask about the screen . It works exactly like the Circle to Search, and you could select a limited area on the screen for the search. However, it doesn’t have a dedicated toggle like the Circle to Search yet. But that seems to be changing now.

In the latest build of the Google app, the firm has made some modifications to the feature, and it now has a dedicated trigger button . Triggering the feature takes you to the new Gemini ‘s Tell Me About This feature. Now it’s safe to say that it’s nearly identical to the Circle to Search. Now, how Google will implement the changes in OS remains to be seen; it’s highly anticipated that it is going to replace the fans’ favorite CTS.
