A lot of AI companies out there are offering free access to their models. However, if you want to truly unlock the full potential and not be interrupted by limits, then paying for a subscription helps. To that effect, we have some good news for you. According to a post on X by the Google Gemini app account, the company is offering a discount for its AI Pro plan. Google says that for a limited time, users can get a 50% discount on the annual plan. This means that users get higher access to Gemini 3 Pro, Nano Banana Pro, Deep Research, plus 2TB of Cloud Storage. Users can also share their plan with up to 5 other users at no additional cost.
However, as with all discounts, there’s a catch. If you have signed up but cancelled your subscription, you’re out of luck. Google says that this is only available to new members. Plus, it’s only for the annual plan which means you have to pay more upfront in one go. Also, take note that once this annual plan runs out, you’ll be back to paying the regular subscription price.
How much will you save?
For context, the annual plan is priced at $199.99. With this 50% discount, you only have to pay $99.99 for the first year. That’s still significantly more than the monthly subscription of $19.99, but if you plan to use it longer than 5-6 months, you’ll be saving yourself quite a bit of money.
That being said, we know that not everyone sees the need to pay for AI . For the most part, the free version of AI models are generally good enough for basic queries. However, power users who want to generate more images , or ask deeper and more complex questions, could benefit from the higher limits and extra computing power. Plus, the extra 2TB of cloud storage is pretty sweet, perfect for backing up your files or Google Photos.
