Google’s Material 3 Expressive has been gradually finding its way to the company’s apps since the time it became official. This brings bright colors and bold design elements. Next on the list to get this new design is the backup section in Google Photos . However, that won’t be the only change, it seems. Google Photos might soon get the most-requested backup schedule option.
Google Photos could finally gain the backup schedule feature
The backup page in Google Photos is the place where you can control how your photos are stored in the cloud. You have options to toggle the feature on or off, choose to only back up your favorites, pick the quality you want to save your photos in, and others. Now, folks at Android Authority, through the Google Photos app version 7.58.0.853810532, have spotted that this page is getting a revamp.
This change organizes things neatly. Options like Backup Mode, Backup quality, and Back up device folder are now present in containers. Google is separating them under new headings, including “How to back up,” “What to back up,” and “Backup tools.”

Expressive UI revamp
The biggest addition to this page that wasn’t there before is the Backup schedule. The feature could let users set a specific time to upload photos or set a time frame, like daily, weekly, or monthly. There’s a chance it could be similar to the Backup schedule for Android . Unfortunately, more details about the feature are not available at the moment. It’s also not clear when Google will make this official.
