The Google Pixel 10 Pro is one of four smartphones that Google is expected to announce later this year. The phone will arrive alongside the Pixel 10 , Pixel 10 Pro XL , and Pixel 10 Pro Fold . Well, at least that’s what’s expected based on last year’s names. The Pixel 10 Pro will be one of two most powerful offerings in the company’s flagship lineup. It is expected to be identical to the Pixel 10 Pro XL, but a bit smaller, so with a smaller display and battery capacity.
In this article, we’ll go over what we (think we) know about the Pixel 10 Pro thus far. We’ll round up all the important rumors and leaks that surfaced thus far in order to try and put the Pixel 10 Pro puzzle together. The article will be updated as time goes by, so the puzzle will continue to be more finished as we approach the launch date. Without further ado, let’s get to it.
This article will be regularly updated with new information on the Google Pixel 10 Pro (this is a preview article) — both official teasers and credible leaks, rumors, and insider claims — as it becomes available in the run-up to the release of the upcoming Android smartphone. The last update was made on August 5, 2025 .
When will the Google Pixel 10 Pro be released?
The Google Pixel 10 Pro launch date is no longer a mystery. The phone will become official on August 20 , while the pre-orders will begin on that day as well. Pre-orders are set to start shipping on August 28. As a reminder, the Pixel 9 series arrived in August last year, while the Pixel 8 series launched in October 2023. The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold will all arrive alongside the Pixel 10 Pro, of course.
What models are coming?
Google is aiming to launch four Pixel 10 models, as we’ve mentioned already. In regards to the model in question, however, the Pixel 10 Pro, it will arrive in a single RAM variant and several storage options. That was the case with the Pixel 9 Pro, and it’s almost certain it will be the case with this phone. Google always offers only one RAM option per phone, but more storage options. If we had to guess, we’d say that the Pixel 10 Pro will ship with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, as no information surfaced thus far. 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options are expected, but it remains to be seen. We’re hoping that Google will offer UFS 4.0 flash storage this time around, instead of UFS 3.1. The storage will not be expandable, though.
How much will the Google Pixel 10 Pro cost?
The Pixel 9 Pro had a $999 price tag, and Google will stick with that price . The company changed the pricing structure of the Pixel 9 series compared to the Pixel 8 series. The Pixel 9 Pro retained the same price as the Pixel 8 Pro, but the thing is, the Pixel 9 Pro was not a direct successor to the Pixel 8 Pro. The Pixel 9 Pro XL was, in fact, due to its display size. In any case, the Pixel 10 Pro will cost $999 for 128GB of storage, $1,099 for 256GB of storage, $1,219 for 512GB of storage, and $1,449 for 1TB of storage.
What will the Google Pixel 10 Pro look like?
The phone’s design is no longer a secret. We’ve exclusively revealed its design back in March thanks to CAD-based renders . Images from the phone’s ad photoshoot also popped up, which only showed how poor Google is when it comes to keeping its devices a secret. In any case, you’ll find all those images below, in separate galleries, while there’s also a video included below, which shows the CAD design from all angles.

It will be very similar to its predecessor
As you can see, the Pixel 10 Pro’s design won’t be much different from what the Pixel 9 Pro offered. Google will retain the same design language. You’ll get a phone made out of aluminum and glass, which has a flat display, a flat backplate, and a flat frame all around. The frame will have slightly tapered edges, just so the phone is more comfortable to use. The power/lock button will sit on the right side, above the volume up and down buttons.
The display will have a centered display camera hole up top, and uniform bezels all around. If we flip the device over, you’ll notice a familiar pill-shaped camera bar. It will, once again, contain three cameras, including main, ultrawide, and periscope telephoto unit. The camera bar will protrude on the back once again, of course. The Google logo will also be placed on the back, at the very middle of the phone’s back side.
Even the phone’s size will be almost identical to the Pixel 9 Pro
Based on what the CAD renders revealed, the Pixel 10 Pro will measure 152.8 x 72 x 8.6mm, which means it will be almost identical to its predecessor. It will be only a hair thicker (0.1mm). That also means that it’s likely sporting the same display size of 6.3 inches. The Pixel 10 Pro will arrive in four color options . Those colors will be Jade, Moonstone, Obsidian, and Porcelain. Different color options will offer different storage options .

We’ve exclusively shared the Pixel 10 Pro renders in all colors . The phone is shown in Obsidian, Porcelain, Moonmstone, and Jade colors in the gallery below.

What specs will the Google Pixel 10 Pro have?
This phone will feature a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display with an adaptive refresh rate (1-120Hz). Its peak brightness will be 3,000 nits, and the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 will protect it. The device will be fueled by the Google Tensor G5 processor, that much is obvious at this point. That will be the company’s very first TSMC-made chip, and also the first 3nm processor that Google will use. Samsung was manufacturing Tensor chips thus far, but Google seems to have switched over to TSMC. That’s one of the reasons users have high expectations from the Tensor G5, even though reports are saying it won’t offer a major performance boost .
The Google Tensor G5 will be the very first TSMC-made Tensor processor
That chip will offer a camera boost it seems, and could also benefit the battery life, amongst other things. It will be more powerful too. Based on a report, the Tensor G5 will adopt a 1+5+2 CPU cluster . It will have one prime performance core, five performance cores, and two efficiency cores. The company will likely use five Cortex A-725 CPU cores for performance, and two Cortex-A520 CPU cores for efficiency. Faster startup performance is expected, amongst other benefits. It’s also worth noting that a MediaTek modem is rumored to be used. You’ll get 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM here, along with 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options.
Google will use a 4,870mAh battery here, an improvement over a 4,700mAh unit in the predecessor. Nothing has been reported thus far. 29W wired and 25W wireless charging will be on offer. Qi2 charging will be supported , proper magnetic charging . Android 16 will probably come pre-installed on the device.
A similar camera setup is expected
In regards to the phone’s cameras , well, three will be included on the back, and one on the front. New AI camera features are expected. The Pixel 10 Pro will probably use Samsung’s 50-megapixel camera as the phone’s main camera. That camera has a 1/1.31-inch sensor. Ultrawide and periscope telephoto cameras will also be included, both 48-megapixel units. Those will probably be 1/2.55-inch sensors. The selfie camera will use a 42-megapixel sensor. The Pixel 10 stabilization is gimbal-level good , as we’ve been able to find out. It’s also worth noting that tele-macro photography will be supported. The phone’s ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner will also get a boost.
The phone is coming Ultra Blue, LImoncello, Iris, and Midnight color options . It will offer a considerable upgrade to its speakers , even though Dolby Atmos won’t be a part of the package.
Should you wait to buy the Google Pixel 10 Pro?
It’s too early to tell whether the Google Pixel 10 Pro is worth getting. Its processor is expected to be a notable improvement, and that alone will be enough for some people. Based on rumors, however, its camera setup won’t be much of a boost, and neither will its display. We’re waiting for more information. It also remains to be seen how much will the Pixel 10 Pro end up costing, of course.
While the Google Pixel 10 lineup looks to be almost identical to the Pixel 9 lineup from last year, we’re seeing that there are a lot of other upgrades within the hardware that make for a much bigger upgrade this year. Another one of those upgrades is going to be the fingerprint sensor.
Last year, Google finally added an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor (as did OnePlus in the OnePlus 13 this year). This is a pretty big upgrade over the optical sensor found in earlier models, because it’s more secure, faster, and works better when your fingers are wet. Now, we can confirm that Google is indeed upgrading that ultrasonic fingerprint sensor again this year. It’s going to be even faster than before, which is saying quite a bit, to be honest.
Of course, Google will still retain facial recognition, which is actually more secure than other Android phones, but not quite as secure as what Apple has with Face ID. Since the Pixel 8, Google’s facial recognition has supported Class 3 authentication, which is secure enough for banking apps to use. And that will continue through the Pixel 10 series.
Google’s adding Qi2 and new, bright colors
As we’ve already exclusively reported, Google is also adding Qi2 support to the Pixel 10 this year. However, it’s going to be Qi2-ready, meaning that you’ll need a case to actually take full advantage of the Qi2 wireless charging standard. This is similar to what OnePlus and Samsung have done this year with their flagship phones. And even what Apple has sort of done with the iPhone 16e (though it doesn’t actually do Qi2 as it doesn’t support the faster charging rate).
Additionally, Google is also adding new colors this year, some pretty bright ones too. Unfortunately, the “Pro” models still get the darker, and more boring colors. Google Pixel 10 colors include Ultra Blue, Limoncello, Iris, and Midnight. While Google Pixel 10 Pro colors include Sterling Gray, Light Porcelain, Midnight, and Smoky Green. Finally, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold colors include Sterling Gray and Smoky Green.
The Google Pixel 10 release date is slated for August 28, with the announcement and pre-orders opening on August 20.
