Google Pixel 10 Pro XL specs
The Google Pixel 10 XL is one of two flagship smartphones in the new Pixel 10 series. Well, as far as slab phones go, at least. This smartphone is basically a larger variant of the Pixel 10 Pro, as the two phones are very similar. It is fueled by the Google Tensor G5 chip, the first TSMC-made Tensor chip. That processor is joined by the Titan M2 security coprocessor, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.0 flash storage. You can choose between 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB of storage here. The storage is non-expandable, though.
The Pixel 10 Pro XL includes a 6.8-inch Super Actua display. That’s an LTPO OLED panel with a resolution of 2992 x 1344. It has a 20:9 aspect ratio, and its refresh rate is adaptive (1-120Hz). The Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects this panel. The peak brightness here is 3,300 nits, in theory, while HDR content is supported. Google opted for a 5,200mAh battery here, while the phone supports 45W wired and 25W wireless (Qi2) charging. The phone also has magnets built in, for Qi2. A charger is not included in the box, though.
It has the same cameras as the Pixel 10 Pro
When it comes to cameras, the setup is identical to the Pixel 10 Pro. You’re getting three cameras on the back here. A 50-megapixel main camera (f/1.68 aperture, 1/1.3-inch sensor size, 82-degree FoV) is joined by a 48-megapixel ultrawide snapper (f/1.7 aperture, 1/2.55-inch sensor size, 123-degree FoV). The third camera on the back is a 48-megapixel periscope telephoto unit (f/2.8 aperture, 1/2.55-inch sensor size, 22-degree FoV, 5x optical zoom). On the front, you’ll find a 42-megapixel unit (f/2.2 aperture, 103-degree FoV).
This phone also supports Bluetooth 6 and Wi-Fi 7. An under-display fingerprint scanner is also a part of the package, while the phone is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. Android 16 is included out of the box, and Google promised 7 years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates for the phone. The phone measures 162.8 x 76.6 x 8.5mm, while it weighs 232 grams. It comes in Jade, Moonstone, Obsidian, and Porcelain colors.

How much does the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL cost?
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL launched in three different storage options, one less than its smaller sibling. It is available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage flavors. The most affordable model is priced at $1,199, while the 512GB storage option costs $1,319. The most expensive model includes 1TB of storage ,and it’ll set you back $1,549. Do note that the device does not support storage expansion, so whatever you choose is what you’ll be stuck with. Choose carefully. The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, much like its siblings, will work with all four major carriers in the US. That includes AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. In fact, all three of those MVNOs sell the phone directly. The device will also work with their MVNOs, and have a wide range of compatibility outside of the US.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL comes in four color options . Those colors are identical to what the Pixel 10 Pro offers, as Google wanted to keep things pretty much the same between the two devices, save for their size and price, of course. The Pixel 10 Pro XL comes in Jade, Moonstone, Obsidian, and Porcelain color variants. The Jade color is arguably the one that stands out the most, but it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. What new upgrades does the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL have over the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL?
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is very similar to the Pixel 9 Pro XL when it comes to its design. Google did pack a number of upgrades under the hood, though, of course. In this section, we’ll see what those upgrades are. So, let’s get to it.
TSMC-made SoC with more power
Much like the other Pixel 10 series smartphones, the Pixel 10 Pro XL utilizes the Tensor G5 processor. That is the first TSMC-made Tensor chip, and it’s made using the latest 3nm node from TSMC. Google says it offers 60% more powerful TPU and a 34% faster CPU.
Faster Qi2 charging
The Pixel 10 Pro XL not only supports Qi2 wireless charging, but it also comes with magnets built in. That’s something all Pixel 10 phones have in common. However, the Pixel 10 Pro XL supports faster wireless charging than the rest. Its Qi2 charging goes up to 25W thanks to Qi2.2 standard.
The display gets even brighter
The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL had a very bright display. We haven’t heard anyone complain about that, and we didn’t do that either. However, the Pixel 10 Pro XL will add a bit more brightness to the mix. The peak brightness here is 3,300 nits, in theory.
Audio gets a boost
Google has promised an audio boost for the phone as well. We’re not sure what exactly that means just yet, but perhaps the speakers will offer more oomph to them, plus some software improvements. Either way, we’ll check all that out in our full review.
Camera autofocus is better than ever
The company also improved the camera autofocus here. The Pixel 9 Pro XL was already immensely fast when it comes to autofocus and even the shutter in general. This phone is seemingly bringing even faster autofocus.
Bigger battery
The Pixel 10 Pro XL also features a larger battery than its predecessor. The Pixel 9 Pro XL has a 5,060mAh battery, while its successor includes a 5,200mAh battery. That is always good to see, even though the Pixel 9 Pro XL did really well in the battery department.
Faster storage… it was about time
Google is finally ditching UFS 3.1 and is using UFS 4.0 flash storage here. UFS 3.1 is quite dated at this point, and yet it was used by the Pixel 9 series. UFS 4.0 is not only notably faster, but it’s also better at power consumption.

Google is offering an official case for the Pixel 10 Pro XL. It’s called the Pixelsnap case, and it’s made out of silicone. It’s also compatible with wireless chargers, and it’s drop-tested for “everyday oops moments”, says Google. That case costs $49.99, and you can buy it from the link below. It comes in 7 color options: Obsidian, Moonstone, Porcelain, and Jade color variants. It seems like Indigo, Lemongrass, and Frost will be coming later on, they’re currently unavailable.

Google does have a simple Pixelsnap Charger in its fleet, and that’s its name. It is the equivalent to Apple’s MagSafe charger for iPhones, basically. It looks simple, but it’s very effective and a joy to use. This one also comes in a single color and is priced at $39.99.
Pixelsnap Charger with Stand
The last accessory on the list is the Pixelsnap Charger with Stand. This is essentially a Pixelsnap Charger which comes with a stand. The stand is foldable, by the way. so it’s deal for travel. This charger is priced at $69.99, and is available in a white color only.

Should I buy the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL?
If you find the Google Pixel 10 not powerful enough in some ways, like the camera department, and the Pixel 10 Pro a bit too small for you… the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is the way to go. Updated September 15, 2025: (September 2025 update + Pixel Feature Drop)
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is now getting the September 2025 Android security update , too. Along with it, the Pixel Feature Drop is included, even though the vast majority of changes already ship with the phone. They were included from the get-go. With that being said, this update does deliver general improvements for system stability and performance. It also brings a fix for the screen turning black during transitions from a webpage in the in-app browser. Google has also fixed the power button, as it tended to create problems when the phone is connected to Android Auto and charging via USB-C. Stability during certain UI transitions has been improved, and more.
Updated September 25, 2025: (another September 2025 update)
Google is now rolling out another September 2025 update to the Pixel 10 Pro XL. This one follows the Pixel Feature Drop, and it’s much smaller in comparison. The update weighs around 31MB, and it brings fixes for “critical bugs” , and it “improve the performance and stability.” With that being said, Verizon also noted that this update fixes the ‘fuzzy display’ issue that has been plaguing some Pixel 10 users since launch. So, that’s good to see. The update is rolling out in stages, of course, so keep an eye out.
Updated October 14, 2025: (October 2025 update)
Along with its siblings, the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is now getting the Android update for October 2025 . This update fixes an issue with frozen or fuzzy display, which was an occasional issue. It also brings a fix for an issue with a semi-transparent background, which would persist after the camera was launched. If your flashlight status did not appear on the At a Glance widget, well, this update should take care of that, too. The last change has to do with the System UI crash when starting or stopping casting with the Media Output Switcher. This update is rolling out , but it’s coming in stages, so you may have to be patient.
Updated November 11, 2025: (second October 2025 update)
Following the main October 2025 Android update, which delivered a new security patch to Pixel phones, Google is now pushing out another update . This sure is a surprise, and unsurprisingly, it’s not a big update. This one is all about performance improvements, and it weighs around 30MB. It is a global update, however, it’s not just limited to the US where it started rolling out. The November 2025 Android update is right around the corner. It is expected to start rolling out any day now, so take note of that.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is now getting the second December 2025 Android update . This follows the Android 16 QPR2 update, which included the December 2025 Android security patch. This new update brings a fix for battery drain, while it also fixes touch unresponsiveness, which was an issue from time to time on some devices. The last fix has to do with cached content. Some users who updated directly from Android 14 or earlier versions (to Android 16) had issues accessing their stored content. The update is rolling out in stages, but it’s rolling out globally.
Updated January 21, 2026: (January 2026 update)
Along with its siblings, the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is now getting the January 2026 Android update as well. This update does bring some security fixes, but in addition to that, various other fixes are also included. It fixes noisy ringback tones experienced during Webex calls in some instances. A fix for an issue with battery draining (in some conditions) is also included here. Google also fixes AOD flickering and noisy lines flashing on the screen when editing HDR photos in the Adobe Lightroom app. General improvements for GPU performance are also included. The company also fixes a touchscreen issue, as it tended to stop working in certain conditions. The last fix is for the Live Universe wallpaper. Deleting that walllpapers had a tendency to cause the Wallpaper and style app to become unstable until you reboot the device. This update is rolling out in stages all over the globe.
Updated February 6, 2026: (February 2026 update)
The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL is now getting the February 2026 Android update . This time around, there are no security updates. Well, one change is mentioned in the Pixel Update Bulletin : ‘CVE-2026-010 A-463674877 EoP High VPU Driver’. That’s it, though, nothing else. There are also no new features to speak of here. Next month’s update will bring Android 16 QPR3, so we should get plenty of changes then. This update is rolling out in stages, so be patient, it’s coming.
