Hohem is back at CES this year with a couple of announcements. This includes the iSteady MT3 gimbals as well as the SSD-01, which is a portable SSD that plugs directly into the bottom of your phone.
These will be on display, along with a number of other Hohem products, at their booth during CES this week.
Starting off with the SSD-01, this is perhaps my favorite announcement so far at CES. It’s a tiny SSD that comes in either 1TB or 2TB capacity. It includes a collapsible USB-C port to plug into your device. This does work with both Android and iOS, but beware that not all OEM file management apps will recognize it (for example, Vivo’s Files app does not, but the Google Files app does). There are also USB-C ports on either side of the SSD, one for charging and one for a microphone.
It also comes in a pretty cool-looking mini-briefcase. Making it great for travel and to ensure that your SSD does not get damaged. I’ve been using this at CES this week to transfer footage between devices and edit on the go, and it has worked extremely well.

Hohem’s New iSteady MT3 Stabilizers Bring AI Tracking and All-Day Battery Life to Content Creators
Hohem is launching its iSteady MT3 Series, a new lineup of camera stabilizers designed to give content creators smoother footage with less hassle. The series includes two models: the MT3 Pro, aimed at filmmakers who need advanced controls, and the standard MT3, built for vloggers and everyday creators who want reliable stabilization in a lighter package.
Both stabilizers feature Hohem’s iSteady 10.0 stabilization algorithm and a built-in 2MP AI camera that can recognize and track people, pets, cars, and other subjects automatically. The company says the new system addresses common stabilizer frustrations like motor lag, drift, and unbalanced movement that can ruin otherwise good shots.
The MT3 Pro is the more capable of the two, featuring a detachable remote with a 1.4-inch color touchscreen that lets filmmakers monitor their live feed and control tracking from up to 33 feet away. It packs 40% stronger motor torque than previous generations and supports payloads up to 5.5 pounds, making it suitable for larger camera setups. Face recognition works from up to 26 feet away, and creators can manage tracking through gestures, touch, or physical trigger controls.
The standard MT3 strips things down for portability, weighing just under 1.7 pounds while still supporting a 3-pound payload. It offers up to 13 hours of battery life and works with mirrorless cameras, action cams, and smartphones without requiring extra adapters. A compact 0.4-inch OLED display handles the basics, while AI tracking and gesture controls help solo creators keep themselves in frame.
I am also using the iSteady MT3 at CES with various smartphones, and it’s been working extremely well. Much better than the DJI Osmo Mobile that I typically use.

Pricing and Availability
Hohem has not released specific availability dates, but we do know the pricing for everything. So the iSteady MT3 will start at $329, which is a pretty good price considering how advanced this gimbal is, and it works with smartphones, DSLRs, and action cameras. The MT3 Pro is $449, and the MT3 Pro Kit is $549.
Moving onto the SSD-01, the 1TB option will cost you $219, while the 2TB option is $339.
