HONOR has announced the launch date of the HONOR 500 series. The lineup, which includes the HONOR 500 and HONOR 500 Pro, will debut on November 24th in China . The company has confirmed the news on the Chinese social media platform, Weibo. The phones will arrive as a follow-up to the HONOR 400 ( review ) from earlier this year.
HONOR 500 series launch date is November 24th
The teaser images shared on Weibo show that the HONOR 500 series will feature a horizontal rear camera design, a shift from the usual triangular design of the predecessor. This horizontal layout resembles that of the iPhone Air, but with more cameras. The HONOR 500 series will be available in four colors, namely black, pink, silver, and blue.
The HONOR 500 may get dual-camera sensors, while the Pro version will get a triple-camera layout. Both phones will feature a 200MP main camera , with the Pro variant reportedly using a Samsung HP3 sensor. Besides the main lens, the Pro version could house a 50MP 3x periscope telephoto IMX858 and a 12MP ultrawide-angle lens with a 117-degree FoV.

Snapdragon 8 Elite and 200MP main camera
While the HONOR 500 Pro may get the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the slightly cheaper HONOR 500 will reportedly use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC. This means the performance of both phones should be solid. The Pro version may house up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
Both the HONOR 500 and 500 Pro may feature a 6.55-inch OLED display, possibly with a higher screen refresh rate. Battery is one area where we’ll see an upgrade. Reports claim an 8,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging. HONOR Power is another phone from the brand to house a large 8,000mAh cell. The MagicOS software should offer some notable AI features, much like the predecessors.
