HONOR introduced its Magic8 series of flagship smartphones, including the Magic8 and Magic8 Pro, earlier in October. It is now reportedly planning to add another device to the lineup. Earlier, the phone was rumored to launch as the HONOR Magic8 Mini. However, there’s a possibility that the company will introduce the device as the Magic 8 Air. While there’s no official announcement yet, a tipster has shared an alleged leaked image of the HONOR Magic 8 Air (or Magic8 Air), which has revealed its possible design.

The HONOR Magic 8 Air’s design has been leaked in new images

If the leaked image is true , the HONOR Magic 8 Air will have a large horizontal camera island. Its design is almost like the Google Pixel 10 series. It will feature a brushed aluminum back, suggests the leaked photo. It’s worth mentioning that this image is just a render, so the actual HONOR Magic 8 Air may end up arriving with a different design.

Furthermore, the leaked render shows that the device will have a third physical button on the right side along with the power key and volume rocker. It could be a dedicated key to launch the AI assistant, just like the one on the earlier Magic 8 series devices.

Thicker, but lighter than the iPhone Air and Galaxy S25 Edge

The source has also shared details regarding the HONOR Magic 8 Air’s weight and thickness, apart from the design. As per the tipster, the Magic 8 Air will measure 6.3mm around the waist. It will actually be thicker than the iPhone Air (5.6mm) and Galaxy S25 Edge (5.8mm). However, the handset will undercut the rivals in weight. It will weigh just 158 grams compared to the iPhone Air’s 165 grams and the Galaxy S25 Edge’s 162 grams.

Additionally, HONOR’s product manager Li Kun has shared a photo showing the Magic 8 Air against the iPhone Air on a scale. It shows the Magic 8 Air’s advantage of being lighter than the iPhone Air.

As for the specs, the reports suggest that HONOR will equip the Magic 8 Air with a 6.31-inch display. It could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor. The other highlights could include a large 5,500mAh battery with 80W fast charging, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a 200MP main camera, and a 50MP telephoto shooter.

HONOR is expected to introduce Magic 8 Air in the first quarter of 2026. It’ll also be competing against the Galaxy S26 Edge , which is also said to arrive around the same time.
