HONOR’s upcoming third member of last year’s Magic8 series has been the subject of a number of leaks and reports lately. Earlier reports had indicated the brand would launch the phone as the Magic8 Air or Magic8 Mini. However, the brand has finally put a stop to the rumors. The company confirmed that it would name the phone the HONOR Magic8 Pro Air and reveal the launch date .
HONOR finally announces the launch date of the Magic8 Pro Air
In a series of teasers, HONOR has announced that it’ll launch the Magic8 Pro Air at an event in China on January 19th. Its pre-order page is already live on China’s JD e-commerce portal. It shows that the company will sell the phone in four color variants, including black, white, purple, and orange.
Furthermore, the pre-order listings indicate that the HONOR Magic8 Pro Air will be available in three storage variants . These will include 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. There’s no word if the company will include a microSD card slot on the device to allow for further storage expansion.

HONOR has already confirmed the design, thickness, and weight
According to recent teasers, the Magic8 Pro Air will measure just 6.3mm around the waist . It will actually be thicker than the iPhone Air (5.6mm) and Galaxy S25 Edge (5.8mm). However, HONOR’s Air model will tip the scale at just 158 grams compared to the iPhone Air’s 165 grams and the Galaxy S25 Edge’s 162 grams.
The latest official photos reveal that the phone will feature a large horizontal camera island at the rear, which will house three lenses. There will be a dual LED flash unit under the module. It’ll also offer a metal frame and a metal glass backplate.
As for the specs, reports suggest the phone will get a 6.31-inch high-resolution display . Under the hood, the handset will have a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, paired with at least 12GB of RAM. Rumors suggest that HONOR will power the phone with a beefy 5,500mAh battery that could support 80W fast charging.
Other speculated specs include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a 200MP main shooter, and a 50MP telephoto camera.
