The HONOR Magic8 series debuted in China way back in October last year. The Pro model in the lineup is gradually expanding in global regions. Additionally, the company is expanding its lineup with the ultra-slim HONOR Magic8 Pro Air, scheduled for release later this month. Amidst all this, HONOR Magic8 RSR Porsche edition was also rumored to be in the works. Well, adding some weight to that, what appears to be a promo image of the HONOR Magic8 RSR Porsche edition has now leaked online , and this shows off its design.
HONOR Magic8 RSR Porsche design surfaces in a leaked promo image
The HONOR Magic8 RSR Porsche design leaks in a promo image alongside the other Magic8 series models. Interestingly, the image also includes the upcoming Magic8 Pro Air. The Magic8 RSR is at the bottom left corner in a purple color shade. It’s got a ‘squircle’ camera island, which appears to be accommodating three sensors. The back panel features vertical stripes positioned directly below the camera module, with the Porsche design text.
The volume rocker and power button are present on the right edge. Additionally, we can see an extra physical button towards the bottom. Prolific leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo claims this will be a camera button. Additionally, he notes that the Magic8 RSR will feature a metal frame, making it quite durable.

Large 7,200mAh battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
Furthermore, leaks from China claim that the HONOR Magic8 RSR will feature a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.6 aperture and an 85mm focal length, and possibly a 50MP main camera featuring a 1-inch type sensor. Our best guess about the third sensor is that it could be an ultrawide lens. It appears that HONOR is not leaving out the cameras for aesthetics.
The phone may house a large 7,200mAh battery with 120W fast charging speeds. While it (the battery) may not be as “groundbreaking” as the WIN series phones from the brand that get 10,000mAh cells, it’s still quite large for most users. The phone is likely to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, much like the regular version. It could pack up to 24GB of RAM on board. The Magic8 RSR could debut on January 19th in China.
