It wasn’t too long ago that Chinese OEMs started releasing phones packing 7,000-8,000mAh batteries. HONOR was one of them with the HONOR 500 series . But now, the company is looking to one-up itself with the upcoming HONOR Win, which according to a post on Weibo, could be packing a massive 10,000mAh battery .
HONOR Win battery puts others to shame
According to the post, it claims that the HONOR Win will feature a 10,000mAh battery. But how legitimate are these claims? Well, pretty legit because HONOR Performance Optimization R&D Engineer A Yong reposted it, suggesting that it could be the real deal .
Now, in the past, we’ve seen phone makers pack large batteries in entry-level and mid-range phones. This is because these devices need a differentiating factor, and if it can’t be in the cameras or chipset, it’s the battery. However, in this case, the HONOR Win looks like a flagship device.

A screenshot of the phone’s “About Phone” section reveals that it features an OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. This is the latest chipset from Qualcomm that was announced a couple of months ago. For context, the only phone with a large-ish battery with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is the Red Magic 11 Pro. But even then, it comes with an 8,000mAh battery.
Other specs include 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, 16GB of virtual RAM, and HONOR’s own series of chips like the C1 + RF enhancement chip and the E2 power efficiency enhancement chip. The teaser post also hints that the phone could pack a triple camera setup.
Batteries are going to be the big thing in 2026
In the past, we’ve seen phone makers compete in display technology, cameras, and charging speeds. However, in 2026, the battle could be over battery size. The HONOR Win will be one of the first phones to pack a 10,000mAh battery , but its competitors are not far behind.
According to recent reports, Xiaomi is also looking to launch a 10,000mAh phone in a slimmer-than-usual body. We’re not sure how long 10,000mAh will get you, but it’s definitely a huge step up from the usual 4,000-5,000-mAh batteries we’re seeing in other phones.
