Honor just launched a couple of mobile devices that aim to put “low battery anxiety” to rest for good. The Honor Win and its sibling, the Win RT , have debuted in China, and they are carrying specs like a massive 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery that sets a new benchmark for flagship-tier mobile endurance. These phones also boast the most powerful chipsets available and a tank-like build.

What is particularly impressive is that Honor managed to fit this enormous capacity into a body that is only 8.3mm thick. The tech milestone was thanks to the use of third-generation silicon-carbon technology. So, the handset remains relatively sleek despite having double the capacity of many modern devices.

Honor Win debuts with 10,000mAh battery and active cooling fan

These phones are unapologetically built for the gaming community. The standard Honor Win features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, while the Win RT runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite. To ensure these processors don’t overheat during intense sessions, Honor even included a physical active cooling fan.

This “Dongfeng Turbo Cooling” system can reach up to 25,000 RPM in a dedicated “Rage Mode.” According to the company, this setup can drop core temperatures by about 7°C. This should effectively prevent the performance drops that usually happen when a phone gets too hot. Users can choose between various configurations, with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a massive 1TB of internal storage.

A Display Designed for Speed

The visual experience is another area where Honor is stepping up. Both models sport a 6.83-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution. While many high-end gaming phones stop at 144Hz or 165Hz, the Honor Win goes a step further with a 185Hz refresh rate.

To help protect your eyes during late-night sessions, the screen includes 5,920Hz PWM dimming. This should significantly reduce flicker at low brightness. With a peak brightness of 6,000 nits, the screen remains clear even in direct sunlight.

Camera versatility, durability and charging

While gaming is the priority, the camera hardware is pretty competent as well. Both phones feature a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP front-facing camera for high-quality selfies. The standard Honor Win adds a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide unit. The Win RT sticks to a dual-camera setup, omitting the telephoto lens.

Interestingly, these devices are built like tanks. They carry a triple-protection rating of IP68, IP69, and IP69K. This means the devices aren’t just water-resistant; they can actually withstand high-pressure, hot water jets. This is a rare level of durability for a mainstream gaming device.

Honor Win and Win RT: price and availability

Charging a 10,000mAh battery could take ages, but not here. Honor has equipped these devices with 100W wired charging to accelerate the process. The standard Win model also supports 80W wireless charging, making it one of the fastest wireless charging options currently available.

Currently, the Honor Win series is available in China with the following price points:

  • Honor Win RT : Starts at CNY 2,699 (approx. $385).

  • Honor Win : Starts at CNY 3,999 (approx. $570) for the base 12GB/256GB model, reaching up to CNY 5,299 (approx. $755) for the 16GB/1TB version.

Both models come in Black, White, and Blue. A global release hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the combination of a record-breaking battery and top-tier gaming specs makes this a series to watch closely.
