The smartphone industry often feels like a race for better cameras. However, at CES 2026 , Infinix decided to shift the focus toward total independence from traditional networks with its upcoming NOTE 60 Series, the first consumer smartphone lineup to integrate a global satellite communication solution. The company also teased other interesting developments and new technologies .

Infinix NOTE 60 Series: First consumer phones with global satellite support

We already talked in more depth about the brand’s new global satellite communication solution. This isn’t just a limited emergency feature. It is designed to be an “always-on” connection that covers nearly two-thirds of the Earth’s surface. While the transmission speed sits at 4Kbps, it is specifically optimized to support high-definition voice calls and two-way SMS. The device even switches between satellite and roaming networks automatically, allowing users to stay connected in “dead zones” without the hassle of extra registrations.

HydroFlow Liquid Cooling, industry-first split controller

Connectivity is only part of the story. To support high-performance tasks and 6G-ready speeds, Infinix also unveiled its HydroFlow Liquid Cooling architecture. This system moves away from traditional methods by introducing a dual-piezoelectric-ceramic pump. This technology uses electric currents to deform ceramics at high frequencies. They will drive cooling fluid at a rate of 6.5 ml per minute—double the speed of conventional systems.

A new piezoelectric fan also uses a very thin vibrating sheet to move heat away. It is only 0.1mm thick, which is half the thickness of a human hair, and it pulses 25,000 times per second. This solid-state system without blades makes a high-pressure air jet that controls temperatures ten times better than spinning blades. This keeps the phone cool while you play games for a long time or do heavy AI tasks in complete silence.

To help users leverage this power, Infinix teased a new suite of gaming hardware. This includes an industry-first split controller with a pressure-sensitive touchpad for ultra-low latency. They also showcased wireless magnetic triggers equipped with mouse-grade micro-switches. The accessory effectively turns the smartphone into a dedicated handheld console.

The visual identity of the NOTE 60 Series is getting a radical update through Active Visual Backplate technology. Rather than a static color, the back of the phone uses smart materials like photochromic leather and thermo-chromatic ink. These react to light and temperature, allowing the device to shift colors, display 3D imagery, or even show flowing animations. This “living” design allows for deep personalization without consuming any additional battery power.

AI ModuVerse: magnetic accessory ecosystem

Finally, the company introduced the AI ModuVerse, a modular ecosystem of magnetic accessories. This suite includes specialized tools like the Meeting Modu for instant translation and the VlogCam Modu for AI-driven subject tracking. Other additions, such as the Mic Modu for professional noise reduction and the StackPower Modu for expandable energy, transform the smartphone into a specialized tool for different scenarios on demand.
