Come next week, Apple will officially announce its iPhone 17 series . Based on what we’ve seen so far, Apple is set to redesign the camera module for the iPhone 17 Air and the Pro and Pro Max models. Now, thanks to new UAG cases shared by Evan Blass on X , the iPhone 17 camera redesign has been confirmed.

iPhone 17 UAG cases leaked

In a series of renders posted onto their account, tipster Evan Blass shared what appears to be UAG cases for the iPhone 17 series. This includes cases across the entire lineup, which includes the base model, Air, Pro, and Pro Max. While there’s no way of knowing if these designs are the real deal, Blass’ track record plus all the leaks we’ve seen makes us pretty confident that these are legit.

The design of the cases are pretty rugged looking. That’s pretty much standard fare for UAG, who are known for their rugged phone cases. It also confirms the single camera design for the iPhone 17 Air, plus the larger modules for the Pro and Pro Max models. Other than that, there’s nothing particularly distinct about them.

However, if you’re planning to upgrade, then these renders serve as a sneak peek into what UAG has to offer.

What to expect from Apple’s event?

Apple recently confirmed it is hosting an event on September 9 . The company does not mention it explicitly, but it’s almost a guarantee it will be about the iPhone 17 lineup. According to the rumors, the base iPhone 17 won’t see too much change physically. However, for the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max , Apple will redesign the camera module.

Instead of the camera sitting on an island, Apple appears to have stretched the module across the back of the phone. It is definitely giving us Pixel vibes. Apple is also rumored to introduce a brand new model, the iPhone 17 Air.

The Air is Apple’s thinnest iPhone to date. However, to get it to be so thin, Apple had to compromise. One of those sacrifices is in the camera department. Instead of a bare minimum of two cameras, Apple is only giving us one, as you can see from the UAG case render. Will this have a negative impact on the user experience? That remains to be seen.

Either way, we’ll have all the details next week, so check back with us then for the updates.
