According to a post on Weibo by tipster Fixed Focus Digital , they claim that the iPhone Air 2 could actually arrive in 2026. This is surprising because earlier rumors suggested the device could be cancelled. This contradicts earlier rumors from The Information, who has been quite reliable in their reports.
One of their reports claimed that Apple had told engineers and suppliers that they were taking the next-gen iPhone Air off their schedule. The publication later followed up with another report. The second report cited some Apple engineers who were hoping to release a redesigned version with a second camera lens in 2027.
So, which is it?
At the moment, both rumors are contradicting each other. However, it’s hard to deny that the iPhone Air lacks a fair amount of appeal. Apart from its ultra-thin design, there’s really not much else going for it.
That being said, for fans of the device who are hoping to see a new and improved version, there’s still hope.
