Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO makes pretty good gaming smartphones , and it seems another one from the company is just around the corner. The device in question is the iQOO 15 Ultra, which recently broke all AnTuTu records . For those unaware, that’s the beefier version of the iQOO 15 that launched in China back in October last year. Well, iQOO has just confirmed the design, colors, and launch timeframe of the 15 Ultra.

iQOO 15 Ultra design and colors confirmed, coming early February, first in China

As with many iQOO smartphones from the past, this one will also launch first in China. According to an official Weibo post , the gaming smartphone will launch in early February. Design-wise, the iQOO 15 Ultra is somewhat similar to the iQOO 15. However, you’ll see a new camera module and a rear panel featuring a honeycomb-like pattern.

Moving on, the iQOO 15 Ultra will debut in two color variants. The first one, officially named 2077, comes in black with a hint of glowing orange accent on the back. That design appears to have been inspired by cyberpunk themes. Meanwhile, the other one, officially called 2049, flaunts a white color with a tinge of blue accent peeking through the honeycomb design.

Although the company hasn’t detailed the specs of the iQOO 15 Ultra, popular Indian tipster @yabhishekhd on X claims that this gaming smartphone will flaunt a 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED M14 flat display by Samsung. Under the hood, the iQOO 15 Ultra could pack the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC for top-notch performance. The device is also rumored to include a 50MP Sony LYTIA LYT-600 3x periscope telephoto camera on the back. On the software front, it’ll likely run Android 16 -based Origin OS 6 out of the box.

The device sounds solid on paper for gamers out there

Since the iQOO 15 Ultra will cater to gamers, iQOO has reportedly also used a dedicated Q3 gaming chip. That’s not all; rumors also suggest that the device equips an active cooling fan and pressure-sensitive shoulder triggers. The iQOO 15 Ultra will reportedly pack a massive 7,000mAh battery and include support for 100W fast wired charging. You’ll also be able to wirelessly charge this device. However, there are no details about its wireless charging capacity as of now. Moreover, Indian users will reportedly also get their hands on this device soon, shortly after its China launch.
