Google has started pushing a new update to its Pixel devices, the January 2026 Android update . This one does deliver the January security patch, but there are also some fixes thrown into the mix.

The thing is, Google’s security bulletin for January 2026 is not out yet, so we’re not sure what has been fixed security-wise. What we do know, however, is what other fixes this update brings.

The January 2026 Pixel patch is here with plenty of fixes

Let’s talk about the fixes related to the Pixel 10 only first. This update brings a fix for the issue with AOD flickering under certain conditions. It also fixes noisy lines flashing on the screen when editing HDR photos in Adobe Lightroom apps.

General improvements for GPU performance in certain conditions have also been pushed to all Pixel 10 phones. The last Pixel 10 fix takes care of an issue with the touchscreen. Touchscreen randomly stopped working in certain conditions, but that shouldn’t happen anymore.

There are two fixes for all Pixel phones from Pixel 7a and up. The first one takes care of noisy ringback tones during Webex calls, which happen under certain conditions.

The second fix takes care of an issue where deleting a Live Universe wallpaper occasionally caused the Wallpaper and style app to become unusable until the device is rebooted.

There is also one fix related to all Pixel phones from the Pixel 8 and up. It has to do with battery life, as it fixes the battery drain issue that occurred in certain conditions.

All Pixel devices from Pixel 7a and up

So, as you may have noticed, this update is coming to all Pixel devices from the Pixel 7a and up. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are not only on the list. The Pixel 7a is because it’s newer than the other two phones.

Here’s a full list of devices that are getting the update: Pixel 7a, Tablet, Fold, 8, 8 Pro, 8a, 9, 9 Pro, 9 Pro XL, 9 Pro Fold, 9a, 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, 10 Pro Fold.

As per usual, this update is rolling out in stages. In other words, some of you probably already received the update, while others will have to wait a bit. Not everyone is getting the update instantly.
