When it comes to thin smart TVs, there’s thin, and then there’s LG’s new The Wallpaper TV thin. LG is officially announcing a newly revised version of the Wallpaper TV that it announced back in 2017 at CES 2026 , and this is a TV that’s so thin that LG is confident in making the claim that it’s the world’s thinnest true wireless OLED TV on the market.

At a maximum thickness of 9mm, this TV is as thin or thinner than a standard pencil eraser. While that might not be nearly as thin as actual wallpaper, the name is still a fitting moniker, given how thin 9mm is for a TV. Officially, the TV model is called the Evo W6, but LG also refers to it as The Wallpaper TV, which is a much cooler name. The TV’s thin design is very clearly the main attraction and the main selling point, but it comes with several other high-end features worth noting.

Its wireless connectivity, for one. LG was able to achieve the thinness it did by using its Zero Connect Box. All the stuff you want plugged into the TV plugs into the box instead. The box connects to the TV wirelessly to maintain its elegant design. LG says the Zero Connect Box can even be positioned up to 10 meters away from the TV, giving you nearly limitless freedom in where you place the TV itself.

The LG Wallpaper TV gets up to 3.9 times brighter than conventional OLEDs

OLED TVs get pretty bright, but LG says the new Wallpaper TV gets much brighter. The secret in the sauce is LG’s Hyper Radiant Color Technology and the Brightness Booster Ultra. With these two technologies working together, the TV’s luminance becomes a lot brighter than you might be used to, with LG saying it specifically gets up to 3.9 times brighter than a conventional OLED panel. The Hyper Radiant Color Technology also improves blacks and colors.

This TV also houses LG Gallery+, which is essentially just a collection of images baked in that lets you sort of transform the TV into an art piece. LG says it offers over 4,500 visuals, and it can include cinematic moments as well as game graphics. Speaking of gaming, the Wallpaper TV offers some advanced gaming features, making this a more than suitable choice for gaming . For example, it’s compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync, and it comes with a native 165Hz refresh rate at 4K resolution. It also features Auto Low Latency Mode.

The Wallpaper TV is running on WebOS, but it’s still compatible with Google Gemini, so you can use it to ask a question and get tailored responses. LG doesn’t mention availability or pricing for this TV yet. It also doesn’t appear to mention what sizes this TV comes in.
