Adobe Lightroom HDR editing is now officially supported on the Samsung Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S24 series, thanks to a new update. It brings true HDR workflows across both the flagship series as they carry significant hardware and software already.

Adobe is bringing the new update through its Lightroom Mobile app, bearing version 11.1.0, for Android phones. The rollout appears to be global and includes several other features.

As per the official changelog, it introduces seamless album sharing with the help of unique links or QR codes. It also works without any subscription. Next to HDR editing support for the Galaxy S24 and S25, users get new camera and lens profiles. And, lastly, there are also several bug fixes to further enhance stability.

The Galaxy S24 owners truly benefit from the new HDR editing support

For those wondering, before the update, the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S25 owners weren’t able to edit HDR photos in the Adobe app. Despite carrying the supported hardware, it was only limited to certain other Android phones. The Galaxy S24 owners will truly benefit from the Lightroom’s update. They were anticipating support for true HDR editing since the launch last year.

True HDR support gives the Galaxy S24/S25 users and the editors notable benefits. They can see brighter highlights, deeper shadows, and more details as they do their editing work in the Lightroom app. The option further makes photographers, and subsequently editors, who are looking to buy a combination of better hardware and software on mobile, and for optics. Both flagship Galaxy phones from Samsung now appear to be even more viable choices than before.

As SamMobile points out, having such perks as support for third-party apps, accessory manufacturers, or app developers makes Galaxy phones more appealing than the competition. And more recently, Notion Labs also seems to have partnered with Samsung to pre-install Notion on the Galaxy Tab S11. Moreover, it is providing its paid subscription for tablet owners as well.
