Lockin's New Smart Locks Don't Need Charging Or Battery Replacements Ever

Lockin has announced its new V7 Max smart lock that also acts as a video doorbell at CES 2026 . What makes it special is that you don’t need to recharge or replace the batteries in it, thanks to the new AuraCharge technology. With this, the company is eliminating one of the most notable inconveniences of using smart locks. This charges wirelessly via an optical infrared beam with a four-meter range.

Lockin V7 Max smart lock gets dual 5-inch touchscreens

There’s a separate, small wall-mountable module that’s connected to a standard outlet inside the house. This transmits wired power as light beamed at a small panel on the lock’s indoor portion. The company says that the tech doesn’t harm eyeballs or bodies that get in the way of the beam. However, if the beam is interrupted, charging stops.

The Lockin V7 Max offers palm vein scanning. You can unlock the door via finger vein, 3D facial recognition, or palm. The finger vein sensor sits on the inside of the handle in a small groove that you would slip your finger into as you catch the handle. The outer panel has a 5-inch touchscreen along with two cameras, thereby allowing the Lockin V7 Max smart lock to act as a doorbell video camera .

V7 Max also acts as a doorbell video camera

The indoor unit also gets a 5-inch touchscreen and cameras. There’s a physical shutter on the interior portion, in case you don’t want the camera to see you. Reportedly, you can configure the lock to either show the camera feed or a little animated character on the screen outside.

There’s also the new Veno Pro Wireless

Besides the V7 Max, Lockin has also announced the release of its new Veno Pro Wireless smart lock. This is a redesigned version of its deadbolt smart lock, the Veno Pro, that also doubles as a video doorbell. This also gets AuraCharge wireless charging and offers palm vein and fingerprint scanning.

Lockin hasn’t revealed the pricing of the V7 Max yet, but it’ll reportedly start shipping in July or August this year. Meanwhile, the Veno Pro Wireless will reportedly cost around $380.
