Xiaomi revealed a ton of information about the Xiaomi 17 Ultra recently, including its design, launch date, camera sample, and more . Well, the company is continuing to do so now. Xiaomi just posted a hands-on video with the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, showing us all of its colors, not to mention that we just got a bunch of camera samples too.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra appears in official hands-on video in all colors
Let’s talk about the hands-on video first, shall we? You can check it out below, as it has been reuploaded to YouTube for easy embedding. In it, you’ll see the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in all color variants.
The device is coming in Black, White, Starry Sky (green), and Purple colors. The official names of these colors could be different. You’ll see that the front and the back sides of the phone are completely flat now, though there is that large camera oreo used on the back, of course.
The frame is flat all around, while the volume rocker buttons are now round. The power/lock key sits right below those two buttons. The corners of the phone are rounded, and there is a display camera hole on the front, centered up top, as expected.
It will be notably thinner than its predecessor
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is now only 8.29mm thick, which is great considering that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra was 9.4mm thick. Yes, that is its predecessor, Xiaomi skipped over the Xiaomi 16 naming, mainly because of Apple.
We also know that the bezels around the phone will be very thin and uniform. We don’t know the exact number yet, but they’ll be extremely thin.
Xiaomi shared a bunch of camera samples
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra uses a new 1-inch type OmniVision Light Hunter 1050L main sensor with an f/1.67 aperture and Leica optics. It does support Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor (LOFIC) tech, too.
LOFIC should offer improved dynamic range and improved noise reduction. In other words, the phone should do a great job in low light and offer great light and shadow details. It’s hard to deny that these camera samples look great.
The phone will become official in a couple of days
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra will become official on December 25 in China. It’s coming to global markets next year, likely in Q1 2026.
