It’s a bit hard to distinguish between phones these days, at least under the hood. So, in order to make their phones stand out, brands resort to choosing unique materials and colors. With the Motorola Edge 70, the company has taken it one step further with a collaboration with Swarovski .

Motorola Edge 70 gets the Swarovski bling treatment

Last month, Motorola debuted its latest smartphone, the Edge 70 . This is basically the global version of the Moto X70 Air, Motorola’s take on the ultra-slim smartphone design. The Motorola Edge 70 was offered in a few colors, but now the company is giving users another option with Swarovski crystals and a Pantone finish .

According to Motorola, the Edge 70 is now available in PANTONE 11-4201 Cloud Dancer. This is Pantone’s Color of the Year and has been described as “ an airy white hue that communicates clarity over clutter, softness over spectacle, and presence over pressure .” To top it off, Motorola is also embedding the back of the phone with Swarovski crystals.

While this design isn’t really our thing, we have to say that Motorola did a good job. The idea of blinging up your phone with crystals and rare gems isn’t new. However, in this case, it doesn’t look very garish. It’s subtle while also coming across luxurious, if that’s your kind of thing.

So, how much is this special edition Edge 70, and when can you get it? Unfortunately, Motorola is being a bit coy with that. The company says the phone will be available in “select markets” worldwide but hasn’t said how much it will cost or when it will be released.

What else you we expect?

The new color option and Swarovski crystals are all Motorola’s doing with this version of the phone. This means that if you were hoping for upgraded specs, that won’t be the case. You might need to wait for the Edge 70 Ultra for that.

Instead, you can expect the same hardware as the regular Edge 70 phones. We’re talking about a 6.7-inch P-OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset under the hood. It will be accompanied by 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.

It also features a dual camera setup. This consists of a 50MP f/1.8 wide-angle camera and a 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide camera. It also packs a 4,800mAh battery and comes with Android 16 preinstalled. It’s not the flashiest of phones, but that’s right up Motorola’s alley. The company is best known for its entry-level and mid-range Android phones that generally offer good performance at decent prices.
