Motorola kicked off its Android 16 update rollout last September. The Motorola Edge 60 Pro and Edge 50 Fusion were the firm’s first smartphones to receive the new Android OS features. Gradually, the company released the update to a handful of other devices. Now, Motorola has announced the Android 16 beta program for eight more smartphones , which are part of the Razr, Edge, G, and ThinkPhone series.

Motorola is testing Android 16 beta on more Razr, Edge, and G series phones

In multiple posts on its forums, Motorola is asking for the users of eight more devices to participate in the software test . The testing is underway for the Motorola Razr 40, Razr 40 Ultra, Razr 2023 , and Razr+ 2023 in the US. Motorola is also testing the same beta firmware for the Razr 40 and 40 Ultra in India, Brazil, and LATAM.

Coming to the other phones, Motorola’s Android 16 beta program is available for the Edge 60 Neo and Edge 50 Neo in EMEA, Brazil, and LATAM. Furthermore, the same beta program is underway for the Moto G85 and ThinkPhone 25 in some parts of the world, like India, Brazil, and EMEA.

To join Motorola’s Android 16 beta program, create an account on Motorola’s community website . Then, visit your profile page and update your phone’s IMEI or serial number details. Now, you’ll need to opt in for MFN on your Motorola community profile. You can then go to the MFN Beta Testing Opportunities page to find if there’s a beta program available for your phone.

If there’s a beta program available, then tap on the registration link for your Motorola smartphone. Finally, fill in all the required details and submit your application for the beta program.

After Motorola approves your application, it will send you a notification to download and install the Android 16 beta update on your smartphone. It’s worth mentioning that the beta updates usually have a few bugs, which the company irons out in the new beta updates. So, we advise you not to install the beta update on a device that’s your primary driver.
