Today, Motorola is adding two more phones to its “budget” category, in the moto g and moto g play 2026. We first leaked these devices back in May, with the moto g 2026 and the moto g power 2026 which isn’t being announced just yet. We leaked them again in September .
Starting off with the moto g 2026, which is the more expensive of the two, with a price of $1999. It has a 6.7-inch display, with a 50-megapixel AI-powered camera system, and a 5,200mAh capacity battery. Motorola says that this battery can last for two days on a single charge.
moto g play 2026 comes with a headphone jack for under $200
These days, very few phones launch with a headphone jack, but the moto g play 2026 is one of those phones. And it’s just $169. This phone also has a 5,200mAh capacity battery like the moto g 2026. It is also powered by the MediaTek 6300 processor, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
On the camera front, Motorola has a 32-megapixel rear camera, with an ambient light sensor as the second camera. There’s an 8-megapixel sensor on the front for selfies as well. This camera setup is not going to win any awards here, but for a phone that is under $200, this should be a pretty decent color experience.
Motorola is not announcing Canadian pricing for either model yet, but both of these will be available in Canada.
